| SAR-HUEY Sling Drill |

On Saturday morning of January 12th, 2002, Township of West Milford Search and Rescue members participated in a drill. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
The drill was taught by Patrolman Thomas Celano of the West Milford Police Department and Mike Hennessey of the State of New Jersey Forest Fire Service. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Members were taught basic helicopter safety. |
|
|
|
|
Rescue and the proper use of slings was also part of the drill. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
A few members were able to fly with the Instructors. |
|
|
|
|
Search and Rescue members attend different drills and courses throughout the year. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Township of West Milford Search and Rescue Team have participated in numerous navigation, rope training and advanced search courses since its inception in 1996. |
