On Saturday, November 4, 2000 at approximately 4:40 a.m. Company #1 (Apshawa Volunteer Fire Company) was alerted of a fully involved structure fire on New City Road in the Township of West Milford.

The fire was suppressed and investigated.

Determined as arson, there were no occupants, electric or heating equipment in the building to have caused this fire.

Due to the severely dangerous and unstable condition of the remaining structure. The dwelling was demolished.
