Back to TopI thought there was a Newfoundland First Aid Squad, why can't I find any information on this site about it?The West Milford First Aid Squad covers the Newfoundland area of the Township. The sub-station located on Route 23 called the "Newfoundland" building is owned and operated by the WMFAS.Back to TopDo I have to be an EMT to be a member of the WMFAS?Yes. All members of the squad must be EMT's, even drivers. Where does the squad get the funds to purchase equipment and pay building expenses? The WMFAS operates primarily on donations. The generosity of those who have used our services and those who respond to fund raisers and mail outs keep the squad going. Expenses continually rise with the cost of fuel, electric and general repairs. Volunteers do their best to keep equipment in good working order and take pride in maintaining the buildings. Donations are carefully managed to provide the best service with the latest equipment.Back to Top
