Volunteers are always welcome...

The Township of West Milford is an area of over 80 square miles. Continuous growth like Bald Eagle Commons on Richmond Road, Bald Eagle Village off Union Valley Road and the new Senior Housing unit being built at the corner of Marshall Hill and Lincoln Avenue means more people and more emergencies.

New members are necessary to maintain our present response in the face of growth. Day members are particularly needed for the WMFAS building on Ridge Road and evening members are being sought for the Newfoundland Sub-station.

What do we do as an organization?

Provide basic and advanced training to our squad members.
Work with police and fire departments in emergency situations.
Provide emergency medical services.
Transport residents who are ill or disabled.
Provide training classes to the public (CPR).
Provide emergency response to nearby towns if their services are overwhelmed.

LOSAP (Length of Service Award Pension) - $700 annually.
Babysitting Reimbursement @ $4.00 per hour.
Membership stipend of $360 annually.
Free Training - EMT, CPR and ongoing.
A chance to return something to the community.

A chance to see a different side of our community.

Membership Requirements

Live or work in the West Milford First Aid Squad service area.
Valid New Jersey Drivers License.
Good background.
Physical exam.
Achieve and keep current CPR & New Jersey State EMT certifications.

Duty Time

12 Hours per week

Day Shift: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Night Shift: 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Same Shift Each Week

Occasional Rotating Weekend Shifts
